Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources offers camping at multiple locations.

Primitive camping is offered at:

Carlton Reserve (T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve) offers exceptional backcountry wilderness with over 100 miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding.

At Knight Trail Park, year-round primitive tent camping is available to nonprofit, youth organizations. The campgrounds are on 377 acres comprised of upland mixed forest, mesic pine flatwoods, hammocks and depression marshes.

Primitive campsites can be reserved up to one year in advance by calling 941-861-7275.

Recreational vehicle camping is offered at Turtle Beach Campground.

If you’re interested in camping at one of Florida’s finest beaches, Turtle Beach Campground is for you. This boutique campground on Siesta Key features 39 RV and tent sites with full hookups. The tree-lined campground has crushed shell padded campsites and a picnic table at each site.
