Get out and enjoy The Legacy Trail on our canopy-covered, four-passenger Surrey! Led by Sarasota County volunteers, the 45 minute round trip tour provides a leisurely way to explore the trail with family or friends.

Who Can Ride?
Passengers ages five and up are welcome, though all riders must be able to climb a step and sit upright unassisted. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not allowed, but service dogs are welcome.
Capacity and Safety
The Surrey holds four passengers, with a total weight limit of 600 pounds. It is equipped with safety features, including seat belts and mirrors. Sturdy shoes, sun protection, and water are recommended.
Cost
Surrey rides are free, thanks to The Friends of The Legacy Trail. Donations are appreciated and can be made online or by mail.
Ride Schedule
Rides run from Jan. 14 to April 16, rides run every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your ride time.
Location
Park and meet at Laurel Park/Sandra Sims Terry Community Center, 509 Collins Road, Nokomis.
Weather
In the event of rain or extreme cold, rides may be canceled and you'll be notified ahead of time.
Who Operates the Surrey?
Two trained Sarasota County volunteers will pedal you along The Legacy Trail, sharing information about the trail, wildlife and the area's historical significance. When full, passengers can help pedal from the back seats.

Pedicab Rides
Sit back, relax, and learn about the area's natural and historical significance with a 45 minute round trip ride on The Legacy Trail. The Pedicab is a two-person, canopy-covered carriage, powered by one dedicated Sarasota County volunteer pedaling a bicycle.

Rides run from Jan. 16 to April 17, every Thursday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure.
